Flathead Lake

Flathead Lake is the largest freshwater lake in the western United States. Beautiful homes, views, fishing, and boating is just a small sample size of what Flathead offers to us here in the Flathead Valley.

Welcome to Flathead Lake

Waterfront living at its finest

The largest natural freshwater lake in the West, Flathead Lake sits in northwest Montana. A drive around this expansive lake will provide you with breathtaking views, charming towns, and vibrant small towns nestled along the lake. The lake comprises over 200 square miles of water and 185 miles of shoreline, offering ample recreational activities. Sailing, power boating, water skiing, fishing, picnicking, and camping are some of what you can look forward to here.

Hugging the western shore of Flathead Lake’s northern end is Lakeside. This picturesque town has a population of just under 2,500 and has become a popular spot for tourists who come to visit Flathead Lake. The town of Bigfork is located where the Swan River flows into Flathead Lake. With a population of almost 5,000 residents, Bigfork is known for its vibrant arts and cultural scene. It is home to world-class art galleries and Broadway-caliber theater performances at the Bigfork Summer Playhouse. Kick off your weekend at Eagle Bend Golf Club, a championship course designed by Jack Nicklaus, located on the north shore of Flathead Lake. With so much to offer, it’s no surprise that Lakeside and Bigfork have become desirable places to live, work, and play.
